Obama is the one who could have picked up that phone and bombed that ISIS force at any time. All those missed opportunities.

Think of it this way-every time you see a photo of a smiling waving bunch of black clad jihadies riding in the back of shiny new Toyota taliban taxies, every one of those photos you see, was an opportunity to destroy that enemy that was utterly missed. Every one of those photos is the recruiting tool ISIS uses to impress the young men who feel that ISIS in untouchable.

ISIS may have had roots in the Iraq conflict but was not a serious player until the Clinton/Kerry/Obama foreign policy team decided to upend the secular strongmen running the middle east, and keeping groups like ISIS in check. Mobarack, Ghaddafi, and now Assad, who they are working on through ISIS, were rat bastards of human debris but that's what is needed to keep the jihadis in check. The increase in terrorism is a Obama problem. He is too busy fighting hos own countrymen to bother with actual terrorists.

so Obama doesn't take any responsibility from January/2009 to Present????? he only takes credit for the good things?

Didn't Obama kept most of Bush policies in the Middle East and kept most of the people managing the war under Bush? but Obama you say wasn't around for the last 7 years???? LOL

democrats are really dense people.

THen I would think it was bammy's opportunity to fix it and really show the world he deserves that Nobel peace prize.

He could have done a lot to bridge the gap between hisself and his detractors by using those opportunities wisely, even while he was golfing.

Obamabots cannot continue to blame republicans, Bush, or anyone else for all of their messiah's foreign policy failures.

Syrian passport found on Paris attacker's body belonged to refugee who passed through Greece

Barack Obama and the making of a refugee crisis

If Barack Obama ever had a strategy for Syria, it's been turned on its head

The horrific results of Obama’s failure in Syria

There is no Republican obstructionism. You've got a sitting president who will do absolutely nothing to protect this country, and he had every opportunity to send ground troops the last few years. A president with common sense would not have pulled out of Iraq when we had that war won. Obama just didn't want us to finish the job. Republicans (at least, the ones willing to stand up to Obama) are trying to stop him from bringing potentially dangerous refugees into the place where you and I live. That's not obstructionism; that's just common sense.

No, Iraq was not stable. It was a barely held together failed state that only survived because the US was propping it up.

Except that ISIS was around under Bush. They declared an Islamic state in Iraq way back in 2006.

The US beat them back a bit with the surge but they still controlled areas of Mosul, Baghdad, Anbar, and Diyala.

But do go on...

The only people who are fueling ISIS are Obama and others who are showing their weaknesses and refusal to fully engage in fighting terrorism.

OK, over there in LeftyLand -- Keep repeating (even after seven years):

Bush, Bush, Bush ......... Bush

It's time to stop beating a dead horse, and peddling simple answers .... to simple minds.
Simple minds have no understanding of history or complex socio-political situations that have created ISIS. Ignore history at your own risk. Like it or not, Bush and Cheney are a huge part of the history that created ISIS. Only ostriches would disagree.

Is Republican Obstructionism fueling ISIS?
Their refusal to work together on anything is certainly not helping.

The political situation in this country is sad. It is not surprising that practically no one approves the Congress, and that goes for both parties.
