Are you going to wear your seatbelt?

Yes, actually it is. Not terribly effective, not terribly efficient (unless you are one of the casualties), but it makes a lot of noise and attracts a lot of attention.

In Europe there is some excellent reporting about how many times the Paris mastermind failed - this was his fourth attempt at a terrorist attack in Western Europe (and the third in France). It was considered his only success - and his follow-on suicide attack on a business district in Paris was foiled.

Most of the terrorist attacks I study are actually failures. So when I put San Bernardino up against the other 4,500 events I track, it's right up in there.

Plus, it is the largest number of fatalities in a terrorist act on US soil since 9/11.

We know they are hear. We have been incredibly lucky with the number of attacks the FBI has thwarted, including a massive car bomb in Times Square and attacks on US military bases. Dozens have supported left to fight for ISIS, far more express support and approval. But, like this case has shown, sometimes the savages win.
Of course not: don't you remember, just a couple of weeks ago our President assured us there was nothing for us to be alarmed about. There was no reason to think there would be an attack on our country. He said it himself. Now, all we have to do is stop selling guns and close a few loopholes. That will solve all the problems. There are no international terrorist here, maybe a workplace attack, but that is all!!!!

of course you are and no, none of us should simply hide in our homes and stop living, but accidents are one thing, attacks are another. The OP asked if the attack would inspire others? The answer is YES!!!
