Sorry for the loss of the "tough guy" image but your still living in the 1940's, this is a positive step rather than trying to bomb our way to peace, it's called diplomacy. It was a win-win and it's 150B by the way and it's Iran's revenue that was frozen. Thousands of Americans have died in senseless wars from Vietnam to present day, it's about time someone showed some leadership and common sense.

Maybe you should become pen pals with the Iranian hardliners, they hate these deals as much as you and are losing power, you can commiserate together having lost another opportunity for war.

Seven Iranians Released In Exchange For The U.S. Prisoners | The Daily Caller
You provided a link to exactly what these convicted Criminals were doing in the USA - the charges all have a "military" component, whether it's money used for Terrorism, materials used for war or software used for Military technology. The Iranian Hardliners LOVE any deal that makes a FOOL of the US Government AND get's them Billions of dollars. Have you forgotten that Iran never signed this "deal" at all? They reap all the benefits, but are not obligated to anything they NEVER actually signed.

It's never a "win-win" when the US Government equates Foreign Criminals that have gone through the best Justice system in the World, with innocent civilians captured and held hostage for gain. It's not exactly "common sense" to show weakness to those that now know that the USA und er the 'leadership' of a Leftist Administration will either let the hostages die or will pay HUGE ransoms for them IF it is Politically expedient for them to do so.

Big Nasty Target is on the back of every American abroad ..... even if that American just happens to be a US Ambassador.

So you have nothing to back up your "nuclear" contention just out for a walk and pulling things out of the air, don't you feel foolish. Money laundering, hacking, radar equipment, electronics so please share your link.

Now onto the hostages, a pastor, Washington Post reporter but the other 2 seem rather shady and have to wonder why they were in Iran to begin with.

The hard liners hate the deal, you think they wanted these people released. It's a win-win as both the Iranian hard liners and the GOP right wing hates the trifecta, release of the sailors, nuclear treaty and now the release of hostages. Try to put your hatred for Obama aside this is a huge step for peace.

"Target on every American's back", well maybe if they decide to go to Tehran but that will change.

I remember watching that Anthony Bourdain show when he visited Iran and he interviewed the journalist Jason Rezaian and his wife. Jason was gushing over how much he loved living there and as soon as the show aired, he got arrested for "espinionage". Held for 18 month. I bet Bourdain feels some sense of guilt over this. And I bet that Rezaian won't be gushing about Iran ever again.

Glad they're being released.
Well that's good news to hear.

Why is it that there are so many Americans that have Internet access but seem so ill-informed? These individuals soak in FOX News lies when it would be so much easier to Google and find out that it is Iranian money not US taxpayers'.

So obviously you have nothing to say and have resorted to comparing Obama to God and using the phrase 'hunky dory'.

In other words, it was a horrible idea and a bad deal right until the time Trump decided to bash in some reflected glory by taking credit. Now it's an amazing achievement. Are you people self-aware at all?

The Americans should have been freed with no strings attached as part of the bogus Nuke deal.

Another chapter in the art of a terrible spineless deal!
But they weren't going to be. So what should Obama have done....take military action for their release. But of course, and that's why you say Obama is spineless. But it wasn't going to happen. So I guess we should leave them there. To be able to negotiate something like this takes a strong leader who believes in diplomacy.

Iranians must write the Art of the Deal II.
  • They get $150 billion for giving up what they don't have.
  • They are thanked for releasing sailors they should not have taken.
  • They are congratulated for keeping their word by releasing prisoners that should have never been jailed

When Trump says we have stupid people negotiating on our behalf, he is on to something.

You're behind the curve. Trump has taken credit for the exchange, so now it's a Good Idea.

How can the US fault Iran when we have held many prisoners at GITMO against international law and we can't even cook up anything to charge them with?
