I find your reason and/or rationale very difficult to understand let alone agree with. Here's why...

First of all, we long ago dropped the draft, because we found we can do what we want militarily with those who want to join the military voluntarily. If there were the need, the draft would be reinstated and those most fit to fight would be the first to hit the "front lines" as needed (18 year olds into their 30s). Before that happens, there is of course the National Guard.

But all counts aside, I always find this game of how we beat the big bad government with our guns a bit ridiculous. First, because our government -- somehow turned tyrannical -- would need to somehow convince the entire military to subjugate its fellow citizens. I really don't think that sort of thing is likely in America in large part because we have never looked to the military for government leadership. That mentality doesn't exist here like in other countries where the military leaders are often in power.

Also more realistically speaking, such a fight between us civilian "insurgents" against government forces would not even require weapons! The simple control of the distribution of water and food would determine the winner of that fight long before a few old-timer marksmen ever figure out what's even going on!

Last but not least, I don't need to have served in the armed forces to make sense of history or these issues any more than our POTUS does. It's a joke when people pull out the "have you served" card when it comes to politics. More to the point, we don't lose fights with insurgents because of our "hardware." We lose because the people do not want or do not understand what we have to deliver in terms of an alternative.

Attempting to establish democracy where the people and/or their society is not ready, willing or wanting, for example, has nothing to do with how the battle is being fought. This is one of the sad lessons we have had to learn all too many times already, and one of the lessons that Obama is finally demonstrating some aspect of having learned. In very large part this is why Obama got us out of Iraq and why he is still resisting the forces that want us to go back and spill even more unnecessary American blood where we have no real chance to bring about change without the Muslims wanting it.

How does the old saying go...? "You can bring an insurgent to water, but you can't make him drink."

Something like that?

The new Michael Moore film is about this subject.

First, Moore visits a working-class Italian couple who live like Kardashians with eight paid weeks of vacation. When he tells them many Americans are lucky to get two, the wife gasps, “A year?!” Moore asks an Italian CEO why she shares her wealth. She insists that she doesn't want to be richer at the cost of her employees' happiness.

Default Sharing the pie, or would that be the brew?

Don't really need to go to Europe for this sort of thing, unless you want to find more of this sort of thing...

New Belgium, with 480 employees and more than $180 million in sales, has been an ESOP since 2000 and became 100 percent employee-owned in January.
