On behalf of Postal workers across America, because the homicide rate for postal workers is 0.22 per 100,000 verses 0.77 per 100,000 workers in general!

Concealed carry permit holders - the ultimate "gun lovers" - commit less than 0.05% of firearms related crimes. In Florida, which has had concealed carry since 1987, you are twice as likely to be attacked by an alligator as you are to be attacked by a concealed carry holder.

You need to get some facts before continuing your persecution of gun owners. Try this site: Gun Facts | Gun Control Facts Concerning Concealed Carry

Note: The term "gun-lover" shows how little you know about guns, and also shows how immature you are about the subject. It's intentionally derogatory, and quite frankly makes most gun owners laugh at the people who use it - much like we would laugh at a 9 year old trying to discuss politics. If you want to be taken seriously, perhaps you should expand your vocabulary.

When was the last time you saw a non-gunlover go postal? When they go nuts they may do crazy things, but generally they do not have the firepower to do a lot a harm since they may not even know how to handle a pistol or a rifle.
What gun lover went crazy?

somebody owns a gun doesn't mean he is a gun lover, just as if you own a car you may not be a car lover.

insane people typically kill people they know, very few kill strangers

20 yr old grandson just beat his grandparents to death with a baseball bat while they were in bed. Think what would have happened if he had a gun!!!

best you worry about drug dealers and gang members defending drug territory and killing for being dissed. They do most of the carnage, repeatedly. Like the 9 yr old in newark doiing homework on her mom's bed hit by a stray bullet from a gang shootout. Realize the guys that are most likely to kill, and do far more killing than a one time insane person who uses a gun, are immune from gun laws.

so why do drug lovers kill people. they may not do all the killing at one time. they tend to shoot someone now and then as required.....are they insane? Newark, nj has a statistical death rate of 2+ a week. mostly non white victims...someone needs to tell them BLM.

you talk about 'firepower'....used to describe automatic weapons....you are watching too many movies and video games...

the celebrity killings do not involve automatic weapons, if a guy has 30 guns and 500 lbs of ammo and components, he only has two hands, so the other 28 guns are sitting idle at home or in a trunk.

Obama did blame benghazi on a video but doesn't feel all the violent video games have an impact on teens gone rogue. Why heck pelosi fears rhetoric will lead to violence, portals of social justice, formerly called schools, fear kids that talk about guns, wear a T-shrt with a picture of a gun, draw a picture of a gun or use their pointer finger to gesture.

With such a hopeless portrait you have painted, you look your door and never leave home, as the world is so violent and the signs are everywhere. Who knows when a dog or cat lover or audiophile will go insane.

No different than the people that "love" animals, then hoard them, live in deplorable conditions with them subjecting them to abuse while both the people and the animals suffer. Does "animal culture" play a role in the "abnormal mind of people with mental illness." Should we ban all pets/animals as a result of this? You cant legislate to the lowest common denominator nor can you legislate everything away that you don't like.

If its truly mental illness you are concerned about then why the focus on gun enthusiasts alone? Mentally ill people kill or injure others with whatever they can get their hands on. Sometimes they don't kill or injure and instead do psychological harm such as those in abusive relationships. I'm sure you can find a high correlation to people that abuse their spouse that also are fans of violent sports, are you for banning boxing, wrestling, MMA fighting, football and the like? I'm sure with the blanket statements you are laying out we can justify banning all kinds of things. Instead of banning things why not help individuals with mental illness as a whole and solve lots of problems instead of one problem that really is statistically less significant than some other issues out there.

So let me make sure I understand this... you're telling us that people who do not have guns are less likely to use guns than people who do have guns.

Shocking. Who would have ever suspected such an obscure connection? I suppose the next thing you'll be telling us is that people who do not own automobiles are less likely to have an automobile accident than people who do own automobiles.

You are so afraid of gun owners it's hilarious.

I think they are afraid of what would happen and what they would do, if they had a gun.

Your constant use of "gun lovers" for gun owners gives your deep rooted bias and fear of guns away.

they go postal because they have a gun, its all about winning the argument at all cost. I remember in high school, you got into a fight and lost, you had one more chance at the title and that was it. Then losers started going home getting the guns, just to win the argument.

is it a mental illiness. no. Its an untrained ego control issue. And I blame it on the time out deal, and teacher doing every thing they can to stop the fight. as kids its sometime better to just let the kids get his butt whipped by the other kids.

Time for a little bit of humor.....perhaps?

There is an academic pursuit, generally restricted to the Vatican, which coins new Latin phrases for modern-day context. (A cigarette, for example, is a fistula tabaci.)

https://en.glosbe.com/en/la

So if a video-game-obsessed pre-teen is a vidiot,
and a fool with his car radio so loud as not to hear a police siren is an audiot,
What might the stereotypical "gun lover" in our OP's fantasies be called?

Answer: a jaculot -- from the verb jaculor -- to shoot (arrow or cannon -- it doesn't matter)

I'll leave the rest to the imagination.

Disclaimer: This poster's exposure to Latin ended in his junior year of high school.

How many gun owners are there in America? How many of them go postal? Do some research, do some math and you will see the number is extremely low. There are other things I'd be far more concerned about!
