You're being kind of unfair, aren't you? I mean, some of the schools in Michigan don't have heat, have mice and rats running around everywhere, etc. It's been all over the news.
I agree that there are problems with teachers, curriculum, all of that (I've been a teacher), but are you really saying that a completely inadequate infrastructure (kids shivering in their winter coats in classrooms) shouldn't be fixed, or doesn't matter?

It's money! Inner city kids can't afford to move to the suburbans where the new schools are being constructed for the middle class!
