I like Hardees mushroom-n-swiss burger.
I totally agree with any person or business who leaves CA.
As I have stated many times, I am SO glad my son left there! Now, I have no reason to EVER go there again!

For every second-rate fast food franchisee that moves out of Cali, 10 tech startups with billion dollar potential will be founded. I'm not worried for California.

Anyone who describes Carl Jr as "delicious" has the sophistication of a six year old.

I can't think of the last time I went to a Hardee's. Maybe 20 years ago? 25? I think there was one in our area but it closed probably 10 years ago at least. Tennessee isn't much of an improvement over California. I guess Nashville is better than Memphis by a wide margin, though.
Back to Fast Food, I liked Roy Roger's as an alternative place for chicken or burgers. Way back when, Gino's was good, too. They sold KFC and burgers.

Carl, who died many years ago, gave a card for free a hamburger to pretty much everyone he met. He gave one to the Pope. If he gave you a "handful" you must have looked really hard up.

There are so many jobs leaving California. I live in Austin now, and a lot of the companies here left california and relocated here. you should see all the californians here .. they are everywhere. They drove up the property prices about thousands. They drive like lunatics , and buy all the houses with cash. I managed to buy a house, but everyone else loses to Californians.

I have lived in "The 04" since the mid-60's. Right across Lamar, from the Broken Spoke.
My property taxes have jumped $8000 in the last 20 years.

Used to live and work in the Austin area and in tech as well.
Yup the big exodus from CA started in 2008 just remembering the license plates.

And our RE prices were "cheap" compared to CA RE.
Texas homes were too small so they bought the homes, razed them and built huge homes on small lots.

Once my property taxes tripled I left the area.

I lived out in the county (Travis). My property taxes on 6 acres went from $2000 to over $7000 in less then 10 years.
