Carl's Jr. HQ Moving From Calif. to Nashville; Press Avoids Saying Why

For years, Andrew F. Puzder, the CEO of CKE Restaurants, the parent company of the Carl's Jr. and Hardee's fast-food chains, has been telling the world that while the U.S. government makes life needlessly miserable for businesses, California, where it has been headquartered, is exponentially worse.

This week, CKE announced that it is moving its headquarters to Nashville, Tennessee.

...
In June 2013, Puzder told the Wall Street Journal that his chain would not expand in California because the state "is not interested in having businesses grow," noting among many other things that it takes 285 days to get a building permit after signing a lease. This means the chain has to pay rent for over nine months, plus the time needed to build, while not earning any revenues.

The article also details how the company spent $20 million on class action lawsuits because of some ridiculous law about the tasks managers do while on the job.

Well, they had enough and are out of there.

Smart move. Once all of the companies, and the jobs move out of commieland, the only people left to pay for their beloved illegal aliens and other multi-generational welfare do-nothings will be the moronic hollywood fools who are paid fortunes to pretend. Since they are so committed to their socialistic causes, it will be sweet justice to see them pay 90% of that fat movie contract in taxes. It will also be fun to hear them screaming about it!

People like you have been saying this for years.

Been to California lately? Still plenty of companies, people, and jobs there! IMO, *too* damn many!

Bye, bye Carl's Jr.: Parent company CKE moving California HQ to Nashville - The Orange County Register

CKE, which also owns St. Louis-based Hardee's, is consolidating offices in Tennessee, where it has several company-owned restaurants.
CKE said relocation, slated for early next year, is tied to the company's success at re-franchising company-owned locations. Roughly 90 percent of restaurants are franchise-owned, including restaurants near corporate offices in St. Louis and Santa Barbara counties.
"Being highly franchised has also reduced our office space needs and, thus, made consolidating offices a more viable option," the company said. "As such, early next year we will be consolidating our Carpinteria and St. Louis corporate offices in Nashville, which is centrally located and is one of the markets where we have retained company-owned restaurants."

Tennessee is one of the tax friendly states.

Their food is $hit. They should close all their restaraunt and leave them vacant for anyone who can cook a simple burger without screwing it up.

Will the company provide mental health help for people that were just told they have to move from Orange County to Tennessee?

Why? That is a gigantic upgrade opportunity for their quality of life. No state tax, freedom, respect for the Constitution, far fewer illegal aliens to support, beautiful lakes, friendly people, open spaces, etc. Compare that to the ridiculous taxes in commieland, high real estate prices in orange county, extreme welfare burden, and traffic. I suppose maybe they will need help for realizing how wonderful life can be out from under the nanny government and idiocracy from jerry brown, kamala harris, gavin newsom, and the rest of the communist ilk that control the once great state of California, and have turned it into a gigantic pos.

Just leave their commie attitudes in commieland, and I'm sure everything will be just fine for them.
