Why have so many American's started distrusting thier government?

No, I don't think so. At around that point in time, anyone who truly did not expect that this country would experience terror attacks on a massive scale at some point in the relatively near future had their head in the sand. If the use of the word "idiot" strikes too close to home for you, I apologize. I wasn't thinking of anyone specific in this thread. At least, not when i originally posted.

No worries. Perhaps just my aversion toward those who come off as if they know so much in terms of what to expect or should have been expected when it comes to economics and/or our violent world. Too many people seriously harmed by these events all considered, "expected" though they may be.

So what's the point of such a comment I might otherwise ask? We all might expect these things to happen, yet...

Who has not been aware of the possibilities for a long time now? Even the unexpected, much like what just happened in Florida. Yet...
