"You are defending the people who caused young people to go out and take guns."
Stumping for Hillary Clinton in Philadelphia on Thursday, former President Bill Clinton told protesters that activists within the Black Lives Matter movement are "defending the people who killed the lives you say matter."
"This is what's the matter," Clinton said, as hecklers interrupted his speech. "I don't know how you would characterize the gang leaders who got 13-year-old kids hopped up on crack and sent 'em out onto the street to murder other African-American children. Maybe you thought they were good citizens. She didn't." Bill Clinton Says Black Lives Matter Activists Are Defending Murderers - Mic
strange that I find a point of agreement with Bill..
The fact is BLM is outraged and activated over less than 5% of the violent deaths that take place in the African American community while at the same time ignoring somewhere around 85% of the violent deaths in the African American community.
in addition, BLM makes no distinction between those who contributed to their own deaths while in police custody/engaged with law enforcement, and those who were actually murdered by some police officer.
This disproportionate outrage has left the rest of us chagrinned to say the least...
They didn't defend him? This is the problem with generic statements like Bill made. There are a bunch of people BLM have defended.
They may not get them all right but they are bringing about change for the better.
who didn't defend who?
and who claimed eric garner killed anyone
