If Malia scored 449 points lower than Linda Liu's daughter on the SAT, she would be admitted over her. The odds that Malia scored the equivalent of what the average white or Asian admittee is virtually a zero probability....she is being admitted because she is black and because she is the daughter of the President, if she wasn't, she wouldn't be admitted to the University of Washington on academic merit.
You don't know what Malia's scores or grade-point average is. Malia made have scored higher than Linda Liu's daughter on the SAT. Your presumption that she didn't seems to be based on your prejudice.

The average black admittee into Harvard scores 450 points lower on the SAT than the average Asian admitted to Harvard (there's a lawsuit that obtained that information)...no reason to believe Malia is any different. Add the points she gets for being the daughter of the Prez....she can get in Harvard at a point an Asian woudln't be admitted to my local Community College. Know the alphabet a-z and count to ten, you're in.

I mean absolutely no disrespect for Malia in my comment but...

I'm betting that the 'Approval Letter' stamp hit her application as soon as it was noted who she was... That nobody paid a lick of attention to any of her transcripts, etc - she's BHO's kid, welcome her with open arms.... despite the fact that her mom was this close into getting kicked out of that school for her Masters thesis...but that's not up for discussion...

Which doesn't mean that Malia didn't score very high on her SAT's and didn't have an outstanding application.

The bottom line, you refuse to believe that she was well-qualified on her own. And you have no evidence to support your position.

I would be shocked if her SAT score was within 450 of the average Asian admitted to Harvard. It's possible but very highly unlikely. If you're a fan of admitting students based on racial factors, then all is wonderful....if you believe that students should have to meet an academic standard regardless of race, then the current admittance criteria are a joke.

Unfortunately stormfront is well represented on cd. They don't want to admit that Blacks can be admitted to Harvard. Dumb folks! Everything is about color to them.

White kids are certainly HELPED by admissions committees paying attention to race. Many Asian students in the US rightfully complain that they are penalized due to their race.

I work at a top 40 institution. If we didn't look at applicants holistically, including race, then we would easily fill our entire class with international students from China, India, and Turkey. They pay full freight and tend to have better grades and test scores than the white American kids and PLENTY of them get turned down in favor of less-qualified (based purely on test scores alone) white students.

You could do that for one year. The next year, applications from top international students would dry up due to the loss of prestige associated with the fact that it would no longer be seen as an American university.

I'm glad they are doing good at the Universities we built learning the curriculum we developed. Of course they are wiping their backsides barehanded from wherever they come from but they excel with that free college taught by those wacked in the heads liberal professors.

That's why American students who actually want a legit degree choose anywhere else.
