When they get the rails built and more of our industry those buildings will be full of Chinese worker bees.

Put another way, who is the most likely person to win it if there is political patronage?
Both questions have the same answer: Richard Blum, the husband of California senator Diane Feinstein.
So, who won the contract? Blum, of course, as the principle owner of Tutor Perini, the lead firm in the three-firm consortium selected by the California High Speed Rail Authority.

That would help explain headlines like this one from just over a year ago:

"Dianne Feinstein praises Jerry Brown's high-speed rail plan"

Michelle Malkin | » Naturally: California awards billion-dollar high speed rail contract to firm partly owned by Dianne Feinstein’s husband

...and Hilary got her man $16 million as “honorary chancellor” of Laureate Education, while she was Sec of State.

When will the democrat voters wake up and stop voting for these corrupt politicians? Never, it sems.

Taxes are theft. There is no such thing as a fair amount of theft.

Lol! That's why I used the caveat of "mostly". Tell me how many people in China went from rural to urban areas in China in the last 2 decades? China over built residential and commercial space but how does that mean that they don't have a more modern infrastructure system than us?

California’s $64 Billion Bullet Train To Nowhere Gets Delayed … Again

This project is more about people getting paid than about getting people from place to place.

California
We are light years behind other countries when it comes to rail, if you drive a car on the east coast or just about anywhere you would understand that our love affair with cars isn't needs to end. Steps are needed now or we can continue to sit in traffic idling and going no where.

The wonderful light rail. This is what we get now.

Woman uses the light rail, but some scumbag gets off the train and follows her and then rapes her. It's like a free pipeline for the creeps from the inner city to the safe neighborhoods.

In St. Paul, woman followed and sexually assaulted

Further research shows that these cities are on a 20 year timeline and most are in year 10 or less.
