Roosevelt was a disaster, he New Deal was a disaster (as the Sec. Treas later railed against the huge waste of spending. Roosevelt's policies turned a minor recession into a depression, kinda like Obama and his 12.5% unemployment.
Yes...it was so minor a recession...that's why so many rich Republican investors "jumped off window ledges".

While it may not be a case of "case closed", the American electorate spoke...and then elected another Democrat right after that. The Glenn Beckites don't like to trust the American voter if it doesn't follow their playbook.

We do for them and Hispanics all the time.

Politics is a funny thing. Everybody is getting up in arms over entitlements that would not be a problem if the SS reserve had not been robbed by corrupt politicians. Senior citizens own this nation by the debt our government owes us for the IOU's.

Another thing I hear older Democrats say is that you never hear how the illegals are bankrupting us. It is always the military and the people on social security. And my husband would add the amount of money we pay out to other countries and some of those countries are better off financially than our country is. That's crazy and I am glad Trump is rattling them. They need to start protecting themselves or pay us for doing it. Our soldiers should not be the only lives on the line for everybody else and we shouldn't be the only country footing the bill. Why on earth are we giving money to Iran? Because our government does stupid things.
Well, perhaps you would like to share with us what you and your husband have personally done for Blacks.

Which is an old saying that does not say that Republicans have a brain.

LOL! Total nonsense. Reality is far more complex than the inane screeds you tune into on MSLSD.

Good grief.

The best answer, I think, is that FDR brought hope while Republican leaders sat on their hands.

Southern Democrats had no problem getting welfare but then they saw black people getting welfare too and decided no one should get it anymore and switched to voting Republican.
