The potential for mayhem using the item stolen in your home should have SOME BEARING on how you choose to SECURE that item, no? Help us out here.
Ignorance has a potential for mayhem and actually has documented evidence of its crime throughout history. Maybe having some bearing on how that ignorance is spread should also be secured, no?
You misquoted me, you know. Indicates disingenousness on your part.
A firearm is designed to KILL.
I can use a firearm to wound. I can brandish it and promote fear, warning, danger to another. I can leave it on the table and it does nothing. I can use it to kill, I can use it to commit crime, I can use it to stir my coffee if I so choose.
Guns were defined for defense, for the propagation of ones will whether it be to eat, to protect, or in your example to do harm. How that gun is used is dependent on the person. I personally have used my firearm to avoid danger simply by the other person knowing I have one and seeing it.

Sorry friend, maybe you need some education? Maybe you are finally getting a taste of what responsible debate is when you should have learned it in school. All your rhetorical flourishes, and you still get it wrong.
Guns are for KILLING.
Say it 100 more times and it will make you right. Remember to click those heels as well.
Edit:
Oh, and it helps if you quote the entire sentence. Picking out words from a sentence is unethical debate tactics. Watching too much of Mr. Moore are we?
Good thing you dont need any help. If you did, I would pass you by for fear I would get sued.
No need to help him, law enforcement will be around as soon as they are able to. *cricket* oh well, at least his last act will be to ride in a vehicle with lights on it in a comfy plastic bag and a toe ring.

Using your example, almost every sharp object in a home (kitchen - knives, cleavers), pokers for fireplaces, heavy candlesticks etc should be locked up
And, may I ask why you continue to only focus on one weapon (AK47) when, as a percentage, very, very few are in private ownership. And btw - AK-47's ARE NOT a deer hunters "weapon of choice"
Frankly, all types of firearms have been used to commit crimes - handguns, long guns, rifles, shotguns -
