When my home was broken into, and my wife and child were about to be killed, that "false sense of security" as you call it, saved my wife and child.
Right....

No. Home invasions are so rare the police don't even track them as a separate category of crime. Media reports of "home invasions" are like the reports of shark attacks a few years ago. The byproduct of overactive imaginations.

I shot, and killed, an intruder who was threatening my wife and child - he was holding a gun to the head of my wife - when I shot him.

Unfortunately, home invasions are almost a daily occurence in the Phoenix Metro area.

They happen on a regular basis on long Island NY also. rlchurch really has his head in the sand to think these instances are made up by the NRA or anyone else. The ignorance of some people is truly amazing!

BTW, another homeowner in the Phoenix area shot and killed an intruder the other night - of course, I expect you to say it was another NRA fairy tail -

I have locks on my doors, a home security system, a competent police department and I pay attention to my surroundings. All I need to keep me safe.

As opposed to dead eye dick, who is shooting the guns out of bad guys hands.

I did not shoot the gun out of his hands - I shot him in the head. He died.

I hope this clarifies the matter.
