rlchurch is delusional. He accuses gun owners of quoting NRA but he uses "statistics" right from The Brady Bunches propaganda which has been proven to be totally made up with no real world numbers to back it up. The NRA uses numbers supplied by FBI,BATF and other law enforcement agancies. Another person to ignore and not get worked up over.

So the mindless among us just go on about those nasty awful guns oh my!!!
It would be laughable, except those mindless sheep vote & they vote exactly as they sheperd says to. Never mind that in most cases their antigun shepard has a bunch of guns protecting him/her.

There are cases where people successfully defend themselves with guns. There are many more cases where the gun owned for defense of the home ends up killing someone in the home.

We should enforce the laws we have, not create new ones. A gun cannot jump off the shelf, load itself, and go on a shooting rampage without human support. If the penalties for committing a crime using a handgun were much stricter, perhaps people would think twice before using guns in the commission of a crime.

Just WHERE do you get your statistics and what do you have to back them up?

Check the gun suicide rate versus the gun homicide rate. Then think about it for a minute.... Well maybe longer if it doesn't come to you within that first minute.

This statistic is irrelevant, people that are looking to committ suicide will find a way whether they have gun or not.

I like how you think the cops are going to protect you if someone breaks into your home. If it takes them any longer than 3 minutes to get to your house you are screwed.

A lot of people die in car accidents as well, should we ban cars? No we can't do that then only criminals will have cars. Damn!

TYLER, Texas — Authorities are investigating the shooting deaths of a former police officer and his wife as a murder-suicide.
Investigators think Johnny Carl Kellis, a 78-year-old former Jacksonville police officer, shot his wife, Gayle Fry, 72, and then himself in their home Monday.

CONROE — A Conroe man remains in jail after a suicide plan that investigators say turned into a homicide.
Ronald Andrew Newman, 22, is charged with aiding suicide and murder in the death of James Lucious Sheets, 31, said Conroe Police Department officials.
Sheets was found dead Tuesday night from a gunshot wound to the head in a wooded homeless camp, said Conroe police Sgt. Bob Berry.
A .22-caliber rifle was found at the scene, he said.
Police later learned during a three-day investigation that Newman had bought the rifle with money provided by Sheets, who had spoken of committing suicide and could not buy a gun because he was a convicted felon, Berry said.
