No mistake. She said " aren't " and that's what the live audience heard.

Very clever of the Trump campaign to jump on the recording and create the bold read along, substituting "are" for aren't".

Is there anything that could happen, that would make Trump supporters turn on him?

I don't like either of them and at this point cannot imagine voting for either of them.
