Keep on telling yourselves that, as the murder rate has raised 49%YOY!
"which is the indirect cause of Economic Lows in Chicago" AND a very LOW high school graduation rate among the poor.

Illinois has tight gun control laws but residents are still reporting firearms being dropped off in alleys in vulnerable crime areas.

Missouri has wild open carry laws and the homicide rate for St. Louis is high.

New Orleans is in Louisiana. It has frequently made the status of murder capital of America. It's located in a death penalty state.

Alot of cities with murder rates higher than Chicago are in death penalty states.

If they DON'T use it, what good is it?

It CERTAINLY is NOT a deterrent!

Many "poor" areas of the country don't vote overwhelmingly for Democrats. There are poor rural communities that vote Republican.

And before anyone starts talking about black people and their disproportionate crime there are no gang members on street corners shooting each other in Iowa, Kentucky, West Virginia, Arkansas and Wisconsin but there are plenty of meth labs, cocaine dens, and (gasps, wait for it) drug dealers.

Who you vote for is not who matters. it is who wins.

Lots of poor black areas in the South where Republicans are in control, but no one mentions that because they are to busy only talking about Chicago

The majority of those guns that end up on the streets Chicago ARE NOT bought or sold there.

It amazes me how people don't think.

Chicago is already the most corrupt city.
Wasn't it just as corrupt during Capone's time?

Somehow the FBI was able to crush crime back then.

It seems like we have the know how, just NOT the will.

Baltimore. Baltimore recorded a murder rate of 55.3 murders per 100,000, the highest it has ever recorded, as of last year. Consider this: Baltimore's murder rate has ranged between 33.9 murders per 100,000 in 2014 to 45.2 murders per 100,000 in 2007. Baltimore also had murder rates in the 40s per 100,000 for 5 straight years during the 2000s. Chicago recorded of murder rate of 18.5 murders per 100,000. Baltimore has stricter gun laws than Chicago, but has a much, much higher murder rate and suffers from high levels of corruption and racial tensions.
For many years Balt. and Wash, DC traded being "the murder capitol of the country".

And now DC, despite having a higher percentage of Blacks than Chicago, has a lower murder rate than Chicago.
