No the point of the story is that his staff or the slew of bureaucrats involved did not get it to him in time for his approval. You really think if someone needed to they couldn't get his approval on any hole between the 1st and the 19th? Not like they have a horse waiting outside the golf course to take a piece of paper back to DC.

OK I will just to make you happy No one forced you to read the link and TBH no one cares!
Try using a news source rather than a blog, another added attraction is that the Breitbart site locks up the explorer for a few minutes. Maybe next time you could add a little more to the quote rather than wasting time.

Don't let facts get in the way of the daily whine.
The military should be the ones to state the odds for success, not politicians without a clue on how to plan the op. If the military says it can be done, the go ahead should be given, then get out of the way of the experts.

He shouldn't have been bothered about this. There should be standing policy that we don't send our boys into harms way to rescue idiot do-gooder's. Sort of like how we have a policy to never pay Ransome to kidnappers.

Oh wait...

Unfortunately politicians think they need to micromanage military operations....I prefer it not be that way but it is and he should be around to deal with things like this.
No matter where he is, the President is "around".

well, in all fairness, what about all those black ops special force guys do to rescue congressmen' offsprings. Does that count?

If the politicians treat these special force guys like their own family members, things like this would never happen.
