Let's just say the authors know absolutely nothing about charitable giving structures and call it a day.
I am not voting for Trump or Hillary and have no horse in the race.
I do however know more than the average bear about charitable structures.
There is no way to prove Hillary engaged in Pay to Play. That however does not absolve her from being an idiot.
The Clinton Foundation should have been closed while she was SoS to avoid creating a perception of funny business. A kid fresh out of a university ethics class could have told them they have to avoid any behavior that could create a perception of a potential conflict of interest.
I also looked up the Clinton Foundation's mission and purpose. This foundation is a "public charity" foundation. The mission and purpose is formally stated and easily found on there and other websites that monitor charities....
So they lied about what they are doing. What's new?

The Form 990 for each year lists all the 501( c) 3 grantees. The values are insignificant relative to his self- disclosed , unverified net worth. I have no doubt there are some posters to this forum who have personally made larger donations to some of these orgs and they most definitely do not have a fraction of the wealth Trump claims to have.
Of all the reasons to vote for or against Trump; his charitable giving, lack thereof, is not meaningful.
Trump also helps fund Citizens United out of his foundation...but not all that much. Probably just so he can say he's a conservative. It's his money and he can do nickel and dime donations all he wants.
