I always say "Merry Christmas". The only thing that bothers me is "X-Mas" but I don't get my panties in a bunch even then.
For that matter I have been wished a "Blessed Solstice" from a Pagan, to which I politely answered "Thanks; you too!" And; I live in Colorado ... home of the "Happy 4/20!"
To which I also answer "Thanks; you too!"
Whats wrong with entertaining somebody elses happiness for a brief second?
When was it ever ****ing gone? We have it rammed down our throats months too soon for the commercialism of it. There are those grotesque inflatable snowmen and Santa Claus things cluttering up scenery right about now. I wonder if the baby Jesus had some of those monstrosities in the manger.

You're right....hyper-commercialism is alive as it's ever been in America. I've been hearing and seeing "Black Friday" ads non-stop for the past couple weeks.

Maulana Karenga created Kwanzaa in 1966, as the first specifically African-American holiday. Karenga established a community organization called US (meaning "Us black people".)
US engaged in violent competition with the Black Panther Party. This eventually led to a shoot-out at UCLA in 1969 in which two Panthers were killed. Following the UCLA shootout, Panthers and US members carried out a series of retaliatory shootings that resulted in at least two more deaths among the Panthers.

Trump's three oldest children married people of the Jewish faith. Ivanka converted to Orthadox. All 8 of the Trump grandchildren are being raised in the Jewish faith.
No doubt they have a history of celebrating "the holidays" together.
This was never an issue before Bill O'Reilly published that book about it around 2005. Before that, I never heard anything about a "War on Christmas."
I did not know he wrote a book. These are just my own feelings. O'Reilly? Can't stand him or any of those types be they left or right.

Maybe you should stop and think about what you are actually upset about first before posting about it. Do you want a more homogenized America where everyone is Christian and has the same beliefs as you or do you want a country full of different cultures and beliefs?
This country was supposedly founded with GOD given rights? Correct, it is no longer a Christian nation. It is secular. Maybe that is my problem.
