that would be great, I would love extended vacations to Jupiter or Saturn... even exploring other parts of the galaxy... it is definitely inevitable but not in my lifetime... sadly...

I agree it sounds enticing. Humans need challenge, struggle, battle, danger. Will a world where there's little work left for most be able to provide that?

I was born during the wrong time period... I could always have myself frozen... no thanks...

they will have Techs on hand, that's the point you trade low paying cashier jobs for higher paying tech jobs albeit less of them , not necessarily a bad thing.
Im sure they will have an apple set up where everyone working there goes through a training program, but sometimes the techs cant fix everything, like a power outage or the wifi becoming spotty because of usage in the area.

I have worked in retail, specifically with a chain that tried something similar to this with QR codes(remember those).

The wifi not working for one day with a company glitch pretty much ended this idea as the test stores saw their sales plummet and didnt recover.

There were 20 stores that did this, i think 8 of them had to close down completely.
