Good ol' Andy, father of the Indian removal act, the Trail of Tears, nicknamed 'Indian Killer', guilty of genocide. A true American Hero indeed.

He was also the founder of the democratic party. Something you should be proud of. The evil republicans didn't come along until later on and birth of the abolitionist movement, with Lincoln being the first.

Hmmm.... seems the liberals have their panties in a twist again over another non-issue. More speculating about what Trump would do and worrying about something that will never happen.

Nobody is going to change the plan to put Ms. Tubman on the $20 bill. Period. Not going to happen. How would that look? The answer is obvious.

At this point you're right it's a non-issue. Just something for people to get pissed off arguing about. To be honest this whole controversy including the name calling in this thread stems from the Obama admin's decision to change the currency. Just like every other chance he gets to stir racial tensions and divide people.

I honestly think race and gender should not matter. To some people race and gender matters so much that we must overlook the accomplishments of others if someone else has the right skin tone or genitals to make a political point.

That's not how things work. The $20 bill was due for an update. Andrew Jackson is a problematic figure. The treasury chose a true American hero as his replacement. Some people flipped their wigs. You don't get to spend that as Obama being divisive.

Most people didn't even know who Andrew Jackson was. This is absolutely the Obama admin's fault. Same as every other racial issue he publicly stirred up. It's sad really because he had such an opportunity to bring people together.

How would it look?
So that's the real reason Obama is trying to ram it through before he leaves office? This is more of his transforming America.
Do everything he can to ****-off the majority while he still can.
We shall see.

Tell me about these racial issues he's stirred up. It's supposed to ignore racial injustice simply because it might make racists uncomfortable? Is that what passes for divisive these days?

The idea that we put lesser figures on currency to placate special interest groups is a joke.

If we don't want people on the money we could choose other symbols of our country to place on the currency. Other nations do that so I could see us using that model as well.
Agreed. Therefore leave President Jackson where he is.
This scheme was implemented assuming Hillary would win. Well she didnt, and Political Correctness is over.
