I hope like hell that he is an atheist. That'd be great!

Only, I wish that he'd said so after his second inauguration...if he is one. And I doubt that he is.

What a bunch of nonsense. When he was being attacked for his pastor, I bet a lot of folks spouting off this nonsense attacked him about his choice for christian minister too.

He is a christian. He has been a christian for decades at this point. He quite literally has had killed a ton of muslims. He eats pork.

You guys are completely off your rockers.

He strikes me as someone who is more sympathetic to Islam, goes through the motions of being Christian (and will stop doing so when it is no longer expected of him as President), but doesn't have any deeply held religious beliefs.

Agree. His religion if anything is communist/authoritarian government.

Why would it be great? Are you naive?

Think about it.

I have no idea what any President's religious belief is because they are politicians. Politicians are notorious for telling people want they want to hear. If the President is an atheist, who does he answer to? What are the consequences of his actions?

Christianity has an immutable deontological rule set dictated by God. There are consequences for the life you lived on earth, even if those consequences are not realized while you are living.

You cannot say the same for atheism. In a world absent of God there is ultimately no oversight. What if it is determined that you are a threat to the livelihood of those who control the resources?

Without a fundamental rule set that does not change based upon the whims of society, consequentialism will dictate moral imperatives. If it is statistically determined that you are better off dead, than who is to say that it would be immoral to make that happen?

There are no consequences in this world. Do you welcome this?

He also went to school for over a decade counting secondary school to become a lawyer and never practiced law. He was obviously a celebrate diversity project from grade school.
