(NBC Exclusive) "U.S. intelligence officials now believe with "a high level of confidence" that Russian President Vladimir Putin became personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.
Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.
Putin's objectives were multifaceted, a high-level intelligence source told NBC News. What began as a "vendetta" against Hillary Clinton morphed into an effort to show corruption in American politics and to "split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn't depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore," the official said."
You're right, Trump will be sworn and will be President, no doubt whatsoever. So what's that got to do with Putin's involvement in the hacking before and during the election, which virtually everyone in Washington agrees happened (except for Trump himself)?

I guess the sore losers are going to try and play this allegation for as long as they think it has legs.
For starters, NBC news has very little credibility, and has been in the tank for the Democrats for a long time. Most of them are leftists who dropped their fake vale of journalistic integrity a long time ago.
Regardless, I keep seeing officials said this or that, but not a single name of one of these alleged officials. I guess we are suppose to trust the NBC reporter/s who wouldn't stoop to fabricating such a story like their top anchorman did not too long ago, right?
I just read where not a single "intelligence source is willing to come forward and produce any evidence of their claims that Russia was involved.
Yet the sore losers are more than willing to believe and repeat the unsubstantiated allegations because it fits into what they want to believe.
For no good reason, I'm reminded of these five steps identified as what George Soros does when he takes control over what's happening in a country:
The first one is form a shadow government using humanitarian aid as cover.
Step two: control the airwaves. Fund existing radio and TV outlets and take control over them or start your own outlets. Remember: take control of existing or start your own.
Step three: destabilize the state, weaken the government and build an anti-government kind of feeling in this country. You exploit an economic crisis or take advantage of existing crisis — pressure from the top and the bottom. This will allow you to weaken the government and build anti- government public sentiment.
Step four: you provoke an election crisis. You wait for an election. And during the election, you cry voter fraud.
Step five: take power. You stage massive demonstrations, civil disobedience, sit-ins, general strike, you encourage activism. You promote voter fraud and tell followers what to do through your radio and television stations.
I'm not saying this because I think this is happening, but I AM reminded of it.
LOL. Imagine what this place would look like if it turned out the CIA had actual proof, and they arrested Trump.
It will never be proven but I do think there was an indirect back channel of communications between the Kremlin and Trump. When the DNC was hacked Trump was not in the picture; Putin at that time only wanted revenge against Hillary. Later, as Trump began winning primaries and he began to look like the nominee, Trump would say, "Wouldn't be great if we could be friends with Russia?" At the time, Manafort and Page were on staff ... they certainly had the connections to Russia and probably served as middlemen. Remember, Roger Stone let it slip and said he was in contact with Julian Assange.
Tillerson's nomination, along with the pending multi-billion oil deal with Putin, closes the loop. The fix was in.
