He has had 8 years, and flat out blew it.

1) He told everyone that he was going to fundamentally change America. His legacy is:

-A health care bill modest is scope, disastrous in execution, and fleeting in longevity, since it is about to be repealled.

-The total ceding of the world to Islmacists, Russia and China. (Wow, 4000,000 dead in Syria! good job "leading from behind" or whatever!).

-The over regulation of Dodd-Frank, which will also probably be repealled or modified.

-The strengthening of unilateral action through executive orders, which is only going to help Trump now (we warned him too!).

2) He wove the narrative of a new, inassailable Democratic coalition based on changing demographics, and his legacy is:

- His succesor could not grab the brass ring and was defeated by (another) political novice.
- The Senate remains Republican and will do so for at least another four years
-The House Remains Republican and will probably be so for at least another 6-8 years
- There will not be a liberal Supreme Court in my lifetime
- 66 of 99 State legislatures are Repubican
- 33 of 50 governorships are Republican.

3) He bragged about the ecomony, but his legacy of enemic growth and bogus employment numbers has caused:

-The rise of the populist right in Donald Trump
- The rise of the Socialist left in Bernie Sanders

Why doesn't he just shut up? We don't need to hear him cry about everyone and everything else when he has the lion's share of the blame. If he's mad about Russia, then he whould have listened when Mitt Romney told him they were a threat. If he's mad about news agencies, then he should have done something to curtail the blatant cheerleading that culminated in Donna Brazil trying to rig a debate for Hillary.

Obama blew it, and no longer has the right to ***** about ANYTHING.

Discuss.

Until President-elect Trump is sworn in, President Obama IS the President. Perhaps you should take your own suggestion.

Obama has caused the Democrats to lose every election after he was elected in 2008... if there is a legacy, its that his policies were not for the American people... it was a failed attempt to trying to strengthen his party... history will remember a failed presidency...

It's the other way around, Trump should "shut his pie hole." We only have one president at a time, and like it or not, Obama is still ours until for a couple more weeks.

One post in and already making up stuff. There have been impeachments and politicians thrown under the jail for corruption but somehow Obama is the most corrupt? Just wow... Listen to this guy...

I completely forgot how he mocked and thew it back in Mitt's face. It's that arrogance that really turned me off to Obama. Like when he did this:

So cocky and sure that Trump would never be president.

People will remember Trump's conservative nationalism as one last attempt of the "old America" lashing out before that flame goes out for good...
