ugh. Imagine it - you'd be drinking with him and he'd be ordering stupidly exotic drinks and telling stories about himself. And if YOU tried to tell a story he'd be dismissive and rude...
I wouldnt want to drink with someone like that.
I've watched him enjoy drinks with many people on his show. He does often order ridiculously exotic drinks but he doesn't just tell stories about himself or be dismissive and rude, at least not on camera. Most of the time anyway.
I hate "reality" eating at different country television shows... most of them are just in it for the money and in most of the shows, they always say how "good" the food is... I have eaten a lot of various food and they are NOT that great, some are fantastic but they are rare...
what a concept, someone doing a TV show for the money

considering some of the things zimmerman has eaten on his show, i think he would dine just about anywhere. i prefer watching guy fieri anyway, he is much more fun to watch than bourdain or zimmerman.

Obviously he doesn't watch the show and just speculates... probably just dismisses the show and makes up some elitist view because of Anthony's liberal political views.

i prefer Zimmern. He's self-deprecating and doesnt try to be "cool guy". He always looks like a tourist and surprises the locals when he eats the most disgusting parts available
Never heard of this idiot. Why does he think his opinion matters?
I'm kind of out of the loop when it comes to celebrity status, I don't generally pay much attention to them, but I do love going to movies and great restaurants. I had to google this guy to even know who he was since I don't recall ever hearing his name.
So here, my point with all of this. If "Anthony" whatever his name is, refuses to eat at a Trump owned restaurant because he doesn't like the owners politics, or personality or whatever, I guess the rest of us "common folk" have some work to do. We need to find out the politics of the owners of all the businesses we patronize, or host of TV shows we watch, or the author of books we read and refuse to support any of their business endeavors.
I mean if "Anthony" wants to make a big splash, and deprive Trump of one customer, mainly himself, wonder if he's grasp the concept of what would happen if everyone used the same logic against him ? I mean Trumps got one customer to lose with his boycott....."Anthony" could potentially have millions to lose. Probably hasn't thought that far yet....lol.
I hate boycotts...I don't particularly care about anyone's politics. If they give me good service, at an appropriate price for what I'm expecting to purchase, they have earned my business. Boycotts can certainly work, but in my opinion, in most cases, they are the tool of small minded bullies.
I deal with hundreds of businesses, and what is important is, do they meet your need at an appropriate price for the level of product/service you receive. Period!
Was "Anthony" in favor of the 60 year Cuban Embargo ? I personally wasn't, I'm glad Obama ended it. We'll get much further engaging those we disagree with than trying to beat them into submission like a bully does. Congress and President elect Trump....take note!
But alas, it's his money, and he can do whatever he chooses to with it. Keep on bloviating and bully on "Anthony", whoever you are!

If you actually watched the show you would see that he usually pairs up with local hosts and defers to their choices of food and beverage because he really wants to experience the local flavors and culture. He also does a great job of getting these local personalities to talk about themselves and their cuisine and communities.
So you disagree with his politics, so what. The guy knows his stuff and makes a great TV host (Also worth noting that the camera work on his show is just stellar. He's got a great crew)

I agree with all of this. His show transcends just food, and they get into some very local, nitty gritty conversations about real issues in country/community, and I appreciate the insight provided by the locals. Food, while a role in the show, is a small part of what are very well done hour long documentaries.
