I can't help but chuckle at the people think this is Trump "doing something for them" lol.
He does something for ME every single day, even if it's only allowing me to watch the rats and usual suspects scurry around in a panic. And the slack jawed leftists pulling their hair out.
A most enjoyable show....more than I ever expected to get this election cycle and from a new President.
You're getting confused with the Cruze. That hatchback is made in Mexico. Trump made a fool of himself this morning by saying the Cruze is produced in Mexico when the vast majority are made in Lordsburg, Ohio. Trump is an idiot.
Lordstown, OH, but other than that I'm fully on board with this posting.
I'd like to ask a question I make no claim to having an answer to.
There may be 2 different answers but long and short term: What benefits America the most, buying say a HONDA made by an American in Ohio or buying a Ford made by a Mexican in Mexico? What wins out, the American worker or American corporate profit?
Next thing up is to slap a tariff on their Ford Focus's made in Mexico until they move it back here.
So you claim Ford can compete in the Central & South American Markets by exporting cars from the US?
Really?

Of course the cited article says nothing about 700 NEW jobs, merely the conversion of 700 temporary jobs to 'permanent' jobs. In many companies the only significant difference between temporary and permanent positions is the temps do the same work for less $$$. And they still intend to move production of the new Focus sedan to Mexico.
Ford Motor said Tuesday it will cancel a planned $1.6 billion factory in Mexico and invest $700 million at a Michigan factory after President-elect Donald Trump had harshly criticized the Mexico investment plan.
The second-largest U.S. automaker said it would build new electric, hybrid and autonomous vehicles at the Flat Rock, Michigan plant and add 700 jobs.
Very good indeed. Indeed, it appears that having Trump come in, with his threats of tariffs and such, will do some good about bringing middle-class jobs back to America.
Sometimes being crazy and unpredictable can be good, seemingly.
"Ford Chief Executive Mark Fields said the decision to cancel the new Mexico factory was the result of sagging demand for small cars in North America and not because Trump was elected president.
He told Fox Business that the automaker would have made the same decision even if Trump had not been elected."

"Ford (F) CEO Mark Fields said the investment is a "vote of confidence" in the pro-business environment being created by Donald Trump. "
So basically he told Fox that it was not due to Trump, while telling CNN that it was due to Trump.
