OP, you seem to take great glee in posting about things that may hurt America or Americans. Why is that?

Is anyone else appalled at the fact that this Mexican security analyst thinks that minimizing trade routes for drug dealers is a BAD thing? That's exactly what he was saying toward the end of the article.

Quote:
"The remaining routes for illicit trafficking will become far more valuable," Hope said. "And that probably means more conflict on the Mexican side." Hope has good contacts in the Mexican intelligence community. He served on former president Vicente Fox's transition team.
He is saying that America should have open borders for drug dealers because cutting off access will lead to more violence on the Mexican side.

Maybe it's just me? I just can't wrap my head around someone making such a statement out loud. To a reporter, no less!

I agree with that.

Also want to add that if Mexico seizes American companies' assets, all remittances to Mexico from the US will be seized and eventually stop altogether. That's about $25 billion/year. Does Mexico really want to give up that $$$ inflow?

How about they seize all their "citizens" here illegally?

If Mexico wants to puff up their chest at us then we need to remind them of who has the economy and the military to not just talk the talk but walk the walk also. If they want to play tit for tat then we can escalate that into a senario where they won't want to go, up to and including just taking over all of Mexico by force. We're a generous and forgiving country but I would remind their government that the US will win bigly in any confrontation, economic, diplomatic, or militarily.

Why would Mexico drives out all foreign investments (Walmart etc..,) by seizing them. All auto manufacturers (Honda, Nissan, Ford, GM) have plants there. It is the dumbest movie. They are just playing straight into Trump hands. People are just jumping on any news without even thinking.

^^^^This totally.

Incredible that there are American citizens in this thread who are rooting for America not to exist in 2-3 years and for the US to "lose" if we build a wall or renegotiate trade deals.

America in this context being the US. (Using America to stand in for the US gets very messy when we're talking about other countries in the Americas too.)

And they're the ones calling everyone else haters. When did the party become so filled with venomous punitive people? I've honestly never seen anything like it.

I've always voted for people in both parties, but used to feel more like a Democrat than Republican. I just can't even say that anymore. I'm sickened by these people who behave this way.
