One day they love communism, the next day they hate Putin because he was in the communist KGB.
One day they say letting it all hang out sexually is cool and anyone who says different is being a big prude, the next day they're up in arms about "porn."
Aren't you forgetting the cons going apoplectic over Michelle's bare arms?
Hey, maybe Melania can do a calendar as First Lady!
I agree on the bold. How does the OP think that intense public scutiny, not being able to lead a private life, being demeaned and called a "mooch" (to use your own words) and a monkey and having people say horrible things about your husband and family is "easy." Even the going to parties thing - maybe she doesn't like freaking parties but is doing it because it is her duty as First Lady.
I would hate to go to that many parties.
Also, I think you should believe her OP. Look at Melania Trump, who I also feel sorry for in regards to her becoming the First Lady. She doesn't even want to move to the White House and honestly, I don't blame her. I wouldn't want to live there and be constantly verbally harrassed by the public either.
She is the first to complain as far as I know, she has had a huge chip on her shoulder since day one and always appeared to be angry.
Topic isn't about me. But I'll indulge your questions.
You make argument that Mooch must not have known what she was getting herself into. Nonsense. But here's the thing. She's the only First Lady to go on national TV and cry about it along with all the other things she has cried about.
I gladly admit that I've called her Mooch. It's a fitting name for someone who didn't accomplish a damn thing good for the people while living on the taxpayer's millions. I've never called her a Monkey. Shame on you for implying that.
See first bullet about the parties thing. She looked to be enjoying all those late night taxpayer funded first class parties.
I don't think we understand the weight of being in that position... that her every move is scrutinized... that there is virtually zero privacy outside of her home... people constantly ripping her husband... people constantly ripping her (along with the praises)... what is wearing today and is it in style...
I understand that financially and in many other ways, there is no problem for them. But mentally, depending on what type of person you are because everyone is different - being in that position can be very taxing. The highs are probably real high, and the lows are probably real low.
Plenty of things to complain about with the Obamas... this is not one of them.
Like I said in another thread, Michelle is ready for the exit.
I have to agree. Give me money without the fame. Especially when you have to be guarded every where you go. The scrutiny of being in high office compounds these problems.
It's disgusting that Michelle reused to participate in the traditional "couples picture" when the President and President-elect meet. That's a time-honored tradition that transcends political boundaries.
This goes to show how classless this woman is.
