I'm not a liberal. Nor am I conservative. I'm neither of those terms as CURRENTLY defined. However looking at this, or any issue, solely in the us vs them, especially politically, benefits only those who play into both party machines.

You're right.

Let the good times roll.

So far we've seen an effort to get rid of the independent ethics committee, fund pork barrel earmarks, and pass a deficit budget that raises the national debt by $9.7 trillion.

And the week's not over.

Why? No one is whining, we are trying to figure out what to do. When you're older and on Medicare you can't wait it out--you might need surgery or physical therapy and you can't wait years until this health savings account builds up enough. They're going to gut Medicare too, you know. Is it a good idea to allow them to make people who are 75 years old set up a health savings account? If they're going to pull a stunt like that, they would have to give seniors more notice.

And if low income seniors try to fall back onto Medicaid, that's being gutted too. We need to at least talk about these things.

Just let it play out. Trump is great! Only he will solve all of our problems. He alone can do these great things for us.

Again, let it play out. Old people voted overwhelmingly for republican. Just let it play out. Trump is great. He alone can do great things.

Unfortunately, it looks like America is too stupid and will need a huge populist revolution to push the country back to sanity.

Health savings accts aren't medical insurance. They are savings accounts where you put your money and you aren't allowed to touch that money unless it's for healthcare. Most of the healthcare savings accts are setup at specific banks that charge high annual fees to administer them and you cannot just decide to close an account because you don't like the large annual maintenance fees that go to the banks. It costs more to administer them because they(the bank) has to confirm that any spending from that acct is only for healthcare.

You have to save receipts and submit them to get reiumbursed. You cannot spend the money on anything but healthcare and this means you are forced to keep these accts open year after year and pay annual fees each year whether you use any funds or not. IMO, health savings accts are a major profit for the banks. Good old GOP, giving favors to the big banks by forcing us to have healthcare savings accts with large annual fees.

It is easy to say 'let it play out' when you don't need medicines that cost $3000 per month without insurance. It is easy to say 'let it play out' when you don't have a chronic medical condition that's expensive to treat. It is easy to say 'let it play out' when you don't have cancer. It is easy to say 'let it play out' when you don't have chronic and debilitating rheumatoid arthritis or pain.

I think the GOP is headed for an epic disaster, but they'll take millions of Americans down with them. Lives are on the line. Peoples' financial solvency is on the line. There is a massive amount at stake and many people simply can't afford to gamble on a political game that's being played simply for votes, a game that can potentially backfire into a mushroom cloud of a disaster.

That system is all set up.
UHC is exactly what Dem's originally wanted..however after a year of trying to negotiate with GOP..THEY allowed their changes to enter the legislations.. often introducing additional changes..THEN voila.. It became a Free market program..allowing Insurance Companies into the circle..Mandate added to make sure people could access ACA with all the regulations.. But par usual..GOP sat on their collective hands and voted NO to it ALL ( except GOP Olympia Snowe)!

http://www.politico.com/story/2012/0...he-gop-0734491.

In October 2009, Snowe was the sole Republican in the Senate to vote for the Finance Committee’s health care reform bill. “When history calls, history calls,” she said at the time. Snowe said she wanted the bill sent to the full Senate, but noted she might not support the final version — and she didn’t. Still, many Republicans didn’t forget voted to bring health care reform up for a vote.

Point is..GOP negotiated..culled down original agenda..demanded a lot of rules regulations that benefited Insurance Companies ( $$$ Backers to them) ..and US got ACA!! From the date it passed..GOP demonized it..put up over 60+ repeals including attaching it to raising the Debt ceiling causing Government SHUTdOWN.. Course Short term memory causes low info types to digest the rhetoric that suits their ignorance levels!!

So, ACA has had numerous challenges in Supreme Court..NONE worked ( including the MANDATE)..so what does GOP do..DEMONIZE..Demonize! Rather than try to make changes to assist or make appropriate changes BO asked for... NOPE..Block..Challenge..ADD Repeala to every flipped bill for 6 years! Does anybody wonder why Citizens are Sick and tired of Congress? So Drain the swamp voters have a new leader who is filling the swamp with many swampy dwellers ( billionaires) that may not have everyday citizen's welfare as their focus?????

Now GOP is HOLDING the BAG..their refusal to assist in fixes to ACA..THEY now risk destroying access to HC to 20+ million people. Many do not even realize they have HC because of new rules under ACA..SO may end up with had if just one of the 3-legged stool sustaining the law..crashes it for EVERYBODY!!

I say..GOP YOU BREAK IT..YOU OWN IT!! AS Biden said.."Go for it!! "
