keep trying, 18Montclair! There are definitely plenty of negative news about Trump to post on this forum, doesn't change the fact that Obama is not coming back and Clinton is walking dogs!

Actually why not find a job at CNN?

The markets were going to crash also. (I was disappointed they didn't).

Oh hey, at last we find a leftist who understands the dangers of economic nationalism! And to think, all it took was for a Republican to advocate it.

If Trump successfully implements his mercantilist trade policy and drives our economy into the ground, will the left finally recognize that its economic policies are destructive, or will they accuse Trump of being a greedy capitalist or free-marketeer or some-such and continue to advocate the same stupid trade policies Trump implemented?

That big businessman who's employed so many with his sprawling companies and properties all over the world is SO ignorant on business and the economy. Yeah..whatever. And I'm sure Michael Jordan is ignorant about basketball and Bill Gates is ignorant about computer software too.

Fake news.

except you forgot the fact that the US was founded on isolationism and trade protection. It became a great economic power largey due to isolationism and trade protection. And its entire economic history never deviated long from isolationism and trade protection.

Since its founding, the US has always oscilated between free trade and protection, with no obvious tendency, only depending on the circumstance.

Haha he's a swindler that stiffed employees, has filed for bankruptcy 4 times, has been involved in thousands of law suits and lost $1 billion in a single year, and that's just what we know about. Yikes.

To say he's ignorant is a compliment.

if you think bankruptcy is worth mocking, then you don't know the first thing about business and economics.

Large business create all the small, legally separated business so that the failure of one doesn't affect all the others. of course some businesses will fail, but does that mean the businessman is a failure? Lost $1b in a single year, I am sure buffett and soros have done worse depending on which year. In fact Buffett used to lose $1.5b in TWO DAY
And it doesn't change the fact that he owns a business much much large than when his father gave it to him, does it?

Laughing at Trump is one thing (often he deserves this), but laughing for the sake of laughing, that's just sad.

Basically your justification for filing bankruptcy is that Trump used Bankruptcy Vehicles instead of having them pierced up to his actual entities? All that demonstrates is that he planned for risk, not that it isn't worth mocking.

That's like saying you shouldn't mock businesses for being sued because they have lawyers on retainer.

Yet people ignore this because Buffett is a Hillary supporter . If Buffett supported Republicans he'd be vilified.
