Cruz and bernie are in about the same boat re wealth.
Bernie owns expensive homes in DC and VT and his wealth appears to be based on specualtion as bernie keeps his finances close to the vest. Wife a college president, college presidents earn in the 3 to 400 k range.
So if 'rich' means enemy of the middle class you will never ever have a legislator to champion your cause.
Curious to see who will come out as the popular position here. This is Cruz's time to really sell his idea for how America should function in terms of healthcare.
Rich people don't like the rest of us to have good things. It would make them feel less-rich, which is what they value most in life. Too bad it's only carried by a cable-channel, where it can be viewed only by the slightly richer.

This is the concept of the positional good. A positional good is zero sum, therefore to have it means someone else can't have it. Take a mansion in a good neighborhood (preferably with beach access) or a Bentley Continental.
Debunked. "However, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has found that administrative costs under the public Medicare plan are less than 2 percent of expenditures, compared with approximately 11 percent of spending by private plans under Medicare Advantage. This is a near perfect “apples to apples” comparison of administrative costs, because the public Medicare plan and Medicare Advantage plans are operating under similar rules and treating the same population."
I'm talking about costs per enrollee. Stating the administrative costs as a percentage of total costs is misleading at best.
