Good idea.

From the article:

Baker also met briefly with Vice President Mike Pence, as the old-guard Republicans try to persuade the Trump administration that a carbon tax imposed in exchange for abolishing a slew of environmental regulations is an insurance policy against the risks of climate change.
They'll need to find revenue sources for their tax cuts and entitlement reform. However, you can't combine this with any of that tariff/protectionist crap. Funny how this was a no-no with the president just 3 months ago.... politicians be politicking.....

The global average is $5.56/gallon. We'll get there pretty soon thanks to the GOP.

How you going to raise revenue with those tax cuts? Trump country relies on the social safety net, will the GOP Congress slash the safety net as they've been talking about?

Funny how when ideological critics start throwing stones, they forget they live in glass houses. When prices went way up during the Bush years, he had little to do with it, as is the case with most presidents. However his Democratic critics tried to directly blame his for political gain, including Obama. Yet when Obama was in office and prices were even higher during his tenure, the same Democrats made excuses and even made it sound like higher prices were a good thing. Remember the absurdity in saying higher prices would mean less people driving, ergo it save lives by fewer fatal accidents?

So for you to say this small increase (in comparison with what Obama publicly claimed he wanted to do) will lead to $5.50+ and it will be the Republicans fault is just partisan rhetoric with no substance.

I am pro carbon tax. It's time we end our addiction to jihadi juice. Bombing their ass back to the Stone age didn't work. It's time we cut them off financially.
