There are not even approval ratings for the Democratic Party at this time as their existing is at stake.

Independents and moderate Democrats don't recognize the party they once voted for.

The power struggle within the party and anti cooperation to get a government in place is right now showing what the party is lacking
A few leading figures who will step up to the plate and stop the bullying and childish behavior is what the party needs so badly.

Without getting people at the top who will acknowledge that the party needs to gain trust again and a respected leader who will stop the non sense, the party will implode further and it may take more than a decade to get back on the rails.

We may be seeing the end and even reversal of a 100 year progressive tide. If so, it began in 2010 and continues apace at all levels of government.

It is up to all Republicans at all levels not to screw up the impressive momentum of the last few election cycles.

The Democrats and the alt-left are on two parallel tracks. People like (sad to say) my in-laws are old-time Democrats. They say they are Democrats but you wouldn't think so by their actions and beliefs.
They have nothing in common with the radical party-hijackers in the news smashing storefronts and provoking cops.
Until the Left figures out what to do with these mutants, the Party will remain out of power.
The crazies like Jill Stein, Van Jones and Tom Perez will keep the Left on the sidelines bleating about relevance for the forseeable future.

Hmmm, I would say both parties are at an all-time low, if Bernie Sanders had not turned belly up on us supporters.....

Hey now - you can't start a thread entitled "Democratic Party at all time low" and then not post anything to back up that claim. Yeah they're moving into irrelevance. Yeah they are in free fall, have no leadership of consequence and no message. But are they at an all time low or not?? Prove the premise of the thread YOU started.

This is why a significant number of Obama voters and Dems voted for Trump this time around

There is a big difference between the Democratic Party of the Bill Clinton years or even Obamas first term versus today .

The current Dem party has gone very far to the left . Caught up in worshipping illegals and criminals and obsessed with identity politics instead of actually identifying how to fix problems for Americans .

They are trying to outdo each other to see who can embrace the most absurd leftist policies.

By the increase in Democrat responses lately i'd say the Democrat party has been given a major kick in the butt and has now awakened to the realization that it needs to change. i predict in 4 years the pendulum will swing the other way and it will be a Democrat landslide burying the Republicans as republicans abandon their alternate reality and vote against a party that is a total con job.

What is the evidence to suggest that the Democrat Party has realized that it needs to change? And if you can provide that, include what specific changes they feel they need to make.

The Dems have gone way to far to the left for many main stream voters. Until they can connect on issues that concern more Americans they're going to remain lurking in the shadows.

Yes policies like supporting and almost worshipping illegals is crazy when actual American citizens are still struggling . The real unemployment rate is much higher as Bernie Sanders mentioned when he was running for President .
Black voters have much higher unemployment rates they don't benefit from a pro illegal atmosphere .

Many people are also working for a lot less than in the past due to jobs being shipped overseas , companies based overseas and crazy regulations that stifle business creation and growth.
