Whether Trump likes it or not, the DOE is working with China on climate change through a joint venture at UC Berkeley
Quote:
...The funds will go to something called the Berkeley Tsinghua Joint Research Center on Energy and Climate Change, which is based at the University of California-Berkeley. If you’re wondering how the Energy Department got into the mix, that’s because UC-Berkeley is affiliated with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, which will receive the funds through the Berkeley Lab Foundation...
Berkeley is such a good school that they don't have to worry about federal funding anyway.
No, they do have to worry about federal funding. NIH R01 and NSF funding is absolutely critical for the sciences for tenure track faculty as they can't obtain tenure without it. Scientific research at universities wouldn't exist without federal funding. People don't know this but even tenured professors get kicked out if they don't obtain R01 or NSF funding in a certain amount of time. Scary thing is Trump is threatening to cut spending on the NSF and NIH so funding is going to tighten and a lot of professors are going to be laid off. There's a reason why academia absolutely loathe Trump.
The Berkeley Institute houses two core programs, the Berkeley Program on Israel Studies, a nationally-recognized initiative for the study of Israel, and the Berkeley Program on Jewish Law, Thought and Identity, the only program of its type in the western United States.
Or be ranked in the top 60 school by Jewish population (ranked 27)? 500 Error
I know few Israeli researchers at Berkeley and they love it there. They've never had a single issue with anti-semitism.
You're kidding, right? You think by having vibrant Jewish Studies program they're immune from anti-antisemitism? Hardly. The Palestinians have Berkeley by the balls. Are you really not aware of the BDS movement's infiltration of the UC schools that make them pretty miserable for Jews now?

Give me a break, the school as an institution is not anti-semitic. Do you know what that word actually means???
And did you actually read about the course (started by a student, not the University) regarding Palestine? Or are students not allowed to explore this very complex issue?
