This is timed nicely with UC Berkeley's new start up incubator.
Either you didn't read your own link, or you just don't care about telling the precise truth.
Your own link proves that the TITLE of THIS thread of YOURS is INACCURATE. The agreement that your link 'announces' is between the University of California SYSTEM (mentioned twice in your link) and Israel, NOT the University of California at BERKELEY itself. The word 'Berkeley' is NOT included within the TEXT of your link.
You are really reaching........Why would any American object to this agreement between the University of California SYSTEM and Israel?........Objecting to this agreement wouldn't make any sense.
Your link/the announcement pays homage to a broader agreement Netanyahu signed 3 years ago.
I didn't vote for Trump, and I supported Obama in 2008 (but not in 2012), but why don't you call Netanyahu and ask him which POTUS he favors/has an easier time getting along with........Trump or Obama.
Is it that you think that people who disagree with you politically are going to be upset because the agreement is between 'California' and Israel as entities rather than the entire United States and Israel? Give me a break.
Despite how much you might want to see a 'divorce' between the Pacific Coast and some other parts of the U.S., we are still 50 United States, and EVERY American should be happy about the agreement your link announces.
There will also be an endowed chair in China energy policy, whose research could be of extreme importance to both China and the US in many ways.

The point of your post?
Just 'FYI' ?
By your own words, you don't know whether Trump likes it or not.
It seems as though you want Trump to be upset about an arm of the government (the DOE) working on an aspect of a particular issue that Trump doesn't agree with, YET you DON'T KNOW SPECIFICALLY if Trump DISAPPROVES of THIS PARTICULAR collaboration or not.
The PARTICULAR COLLABORATION that your link is about is funded by a PRIVATE donation from multi-billionaire Jim Simons and his wife Marilyn, so Trump DOESN'T HAVE TO ANSWER TO ANY U.S. TAXPAYERS RE THE FUNDING for the collaboration.
There is no reason for any American, no matter their views, to be upset about the collaboration, as it is being funded via a PRIVATE donation.
Oh look, a story from today about another federal agency asking for Berkeley's expertise:
Quote:
NASA has partnered with UC Berkeley to expand its search for the ninth planet, and together they are offering the public the opportunity to help find it.
Not sure why you're LYAO at anti-Semitism. Must be a lefty groupthink thing.
Yawns...just like life in trailer trash trump land goes on despite what naysayers say-likewise so does life continue unabated at UC Berkeley as the world continues to flock to the university to be a part of the school's research:
Quote:
The University of California, Berkeley in November wrapped up the AMPLab, a five-year computer science research lab that produced, among other things, the Apache Mesos cluster management software and the Apache Spark data processing engine. Today the university is announcing what comes next: RISELab.
The new five-year initiative has financial backing from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Ant Financial, Capital One, Ericsson, GE Digital, Google, Huawei, Intel, IBM, Microsoft, and VMware.
This is timed nicely with UC Berkeley's new start up incubator.
I kinda thought the lefties at UC Berkeley would have enacted a boycott against Israel. This is actually a pleasant surprise for this righty.
