Fantastic. And this is why they call people with these far-right opinions " gun nuts" because there is zero logic in this.
When people want to commit murder, lack of a firearm has stopped no murderer in human history. If they are so dangerous, keep them in prison or hospital please.

If you don't like the due process, you have a whole lot nazism and communism coming your way.

Do you want a government official to arbitrarily declare you mentally ill just because you have a different opinion?

Liberty and life are far more precious!

Ummmm, ..................... how would stricter laws help that? They are criminals, laws be damned, and access to firearms is readily available through the black market. Laws only effect the people willing to obey them.

Seriously mentally ill people don't want to commit murder. In fact, by law, they are incapable of it. Ever heard of " not guilty by reason of insanity?"

That doesn't make the 20 victims any less dead. If that guy in the movie theatre had an official schizophrenia diagnosis, they would not have been able to convict him.

Do you understand? Some people have no business buying a gun, and if you are so sick that you are on disability due to serious mental illness, that's probably a damn good reason.

When Criminals commit crimes the firearm was purchase thru the Black Market. There has always been weapons to omit crimes, try a knife?
Most gun owners are very respectful and exercise great caution with firearms.

That's not how it works. You think I can walk into my local social security office and just tell the clerk that I'm
Mentally illl and collect my 2k a month in disability payments?

Not disagreeing with you on this point, but I disagree that people can be deprived of their rights or legally acquired property without due process.

Once again, if they are too dangerous to own firearms, please keep them in prison or hospital.

This!!! If someone with a felony conviction is too dangerous to rent an apartment or get a decent job, why are they allowed in public?

The same goes for someone with mental illness. If they are too dangerous to own a firearm, why are they allowed to drive?

Dangerous people should be behind bars. Anyone else should have the same freedoms as Bob, Joe, and Sally.
