The anti-gun nuts have somehow come to the conclusion that restricting the rights of the people that aren't the problem (legal gun owners) will somehow solve the issues of the people that are the problem (criminals).
I can't imagine there's a single criminal that paused and gave thought before committing their crime about whether or not what he was doing was illegal.
Rational thought doesn't exist in the anti-gunners mind, all that is there is fear of an inanimate object.
They do not feel comfortable bullying you, if you are armed.
They do not think they should be deterred from being on a powertrip.
If in 1850, all the slaves owned a pistol, rifle and a shotgun, do we really think they would have been called slaves?
I think Congress could pass a law controlling guns modeled after Switzerland's and it would pass 2nd Amendment muster, although implementing it would requiring violating the Constitution in a number of other ways.
I hunt waterfowl, a lot, and have never had that issue even hunting on the Chesapeake with spray soaking everything.

I haven't seen a paper shotshell for decades. There may be a company that still makes them but I've never seen them.
I had a few when I started hunting-----in 1966, but even then the transition to plastic was well underway. And paper shells did have a problem with moisture.
The biggest problem now is that some companies (Remington, cough, cough) don't use brass bases but brass plated steel in their low cost shells. Those bases do rust.
You can present all the facts you wish, the anti's will not be convinced. It's in their nature to ignore logic, and instead embrace their emotional opinion.
We don't post facts for the benefit of the anti's or in hopes of changing their minds.... We post facts to counter their lies, distortions, half-truths and misrepresentations so that they don't go unchecked, left to fool some unsuspecting person who might read them in the future.
