I stand corrected.

We do not govern this nation through plebiscite. It would appear to have been impractical.

In a Constitutional Representative Republic the people have a right to review and appraise the performance of their elected officials.

Thanks to men like Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson (Mr Trump's favorite, it seems) and many other good people through the years we have as democratic a republic as can be had under this constitution. I am personally grateful for it.

It is for this reason that the faction with Thomas Jefferson and the party of Andrew Jackson were known as the Democratic-Republicans, as opposed to other types of republicans who did not share their democratic inclinations.

Amendments extending the vote: 15th, 17th, 19th and 26th.

Republicans will not ask Trump to step down. That is just dreaming.
This power you attribute to republicans, is like a muscle-car with a big engine and a blown transmission. It's not going anywhere.

In this political scenario, those who conspired were supposed to escape detection. Those on the inside were supposed to keep quiet and not leak damning information. And the cloud of scattered information was not supposed to coalesce into undeniable evidence.

So if Trump is forced should I go ahead and build a survival bunker in Montana? It sounds like the end of civilization as we know it. Getting scared.

Somehow I get the feeling it has more to do with the fact that 'Republic' is part of the word 'Republican' and 'Democracy' is related semantically to 'Democrat'?

If they succeed in removing him........ I will never cast a vote again for any candidate of any party in this rotten system.
Have you not realized yet that Trump has no idea what his job is? Comes from being the most woefully unqualified and least experienced person ever elected? The guy ran a family owned company with few employees and sub-contracted everything else. Very little experience being an actual LEADER. What did you expect?
