On a number of posts I've written here, I've made reference to how the people brought here in slave ships, or their descendants, learned the facts and fine points of free enterprise, and prospered from it, but only once they were free and able to do so, and I always take pains to emphasize that distinction.
If the precise wording of Dr. Carson's speech is exactly as published, then he is guilty of a naïve gaffe' and little more. But it needs to be emphasized that whenever a conservative, or even an independent speaks in the presence of Left-leaning trolls, (s)he is figuratively walking bare-@ss through a snake pit.

Who cares. Emotional yapping is not part of the natural sciences. Dr. Ben Carson made medical history and in terms of applied sciences in medicine and the surgical field he'd run mental laps around both of us.
Go out and make history yourself before you try in envy to steal the thunder from an overachiever who is also ethnically Black-American. I don't care for Dr. Carson's religious affiliation but you don't see me trying to denegrate him because of that.

I just asked what term should Carson have used. People are mocking his use of the word 'immigrant' it seems but no one has said what he should have used.
Cool...I might go nab some people and help them immigrate.

Syrian refugees relocated in the West are also human trafficking victims.
They are taken out of hell and go to a better place...sure. A much better place.
But they could go to stable countries where their religion/culture/customs mesh with the locals.
But the U.S. State Department wouldn't receive its kickbacks if that were the case.
