slaves were not considered people. they were considered cattle or property by enslavers. And ultimately, the sentiment that is put forth is that slaves arrived in "the new world" with smiles on their faces looking for a fresh new start like Europeans arriving on ellis island. And you're playing stupid. Common tactic on these forums.

Dr. Ben Carson is a brilliant man and an educated man that apparently is a responsible husband. His character traits are those of which other black males in the US would elevate their lives and communities if they adopted those character traits as well.

And you have left your mark on American or world history how?

I doubt you grasp the percentage of Americans that have a medical degree, the smaller percent of those that are surgeons, and even the smaller percentage of those surgeons that make history in the medical journals. And you have the nerve and hubris to call Dr. Ben Carson a moron.
Do you know what a savant is? That's basically him, without the autism The man could have an IQ of 120, be so brilliant, yet amazingly he still puts his foot in his mouth and lacks common sense and perspective. And why do you feel insulted I called him a moron? Are you related to him? Are you his friend? If so, I apologize. If you aren't either, then what do you care? He doesn't k ow we exist, and he couldn't care less

“I think people need to actually look up the word immigrant,” Carson said. “Whether you’re voluntary or involuntary, if you come from the outside to the inside, you’re an immigrant. Whether you’re legal or illegal, you come from the outside to inside, you’re an immigrant.
