Neo cons and interventionists starting to really gain power in trump administration, neo cons and interventionists and globalists really helped turn the w. bush presidency into an amazing success

Our whole history of interventionism in the middle east from the support of the anti communist "rebels" in Afghanistan who rammed airplanes into the world trade center and killed 3,000 and maimed and burned 10,000 people in nyc , the invasion of iraq over fake wmd and inflaming sunni/shiite tensions, libya, yemen and on and on has been a disaster.

Since when does anything involving arabs make sense?

Besides has Assad SAID he didn't do it? Is he willing to show that he doesn't have any agents? Does he know who DID? If so he should speak up - before a war crimes tribunal catches up to him.

Yes he has vehemently denied using chemical weapons, why would he use chemical weapons unless he is suicidal? He could use bombs of any type but he wants to destroy his own regime and use chemical weapons?

From a huge german news organization german site DW.com

Is Assad to blame for the chemical weapons attack in Syria? | Middle East | DW.COM | 06.04.2017

"The Syrian regime may not have had a compelling motive, believes Günther Meyer, the director of the Research Center for the Arab World at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz.

"Only armed opposition groups could profit from an attack with chemical weapons," he told DW. "With their backs against the wall, they have next to no chance of opposing the regime militarily. "

Such actions make it possible for anti-Assad groups to receive further support."

2014, investigative journalist Seymour Hersh reported on opposition forces' ability to use chemical weapons. In an article for the "London Review of Books," Hersh obtained documents from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Pentagon's own spy organization. They suggested that the Nusra Front, a Syrian offshoot of al Qaeda, had access to the sarin nerve agent.

A chemical weapons attack on the Damascus suburb of Ghouta in August 2013, which was blamed on Assad, was carried out by rebels, according to Hersh's article. They wanted Washington to presume Assad had crossed Obama's "red line" and draw the US into a war."

Al Qaeda's role in Idlib

No one can say how the situation has evolved since the DIA's assessment in 2013 of the Nusra Front's weapons. The al Qaeda affiliate is today the most significant rebel group in the northern Syrian province of Idlib, Meyer said. Along with other jihadi extremists, it has turned itself into the "de facto ruler of Idlib."

Assad has not hesitated to use ruthless means to stay in power. In confronting the most recent use of chemical weapons in Syria, credible questions remain as to why Assad would bring world opinion against him at a time when his continued rule is beginning to be accepted.

And the barrel bombs containing chlorine gas, they were dropped from Syrian planes were they not. Or do you believe that the rebels have somehow managed to amass an air force?

So its now barrel bombs of chlorine gas? I thought it was sarin? Who are the "rebels" in this area exactly?

He couldnt have just used regular bombs? He just wanted to bring world condemnation , tons of media, and the destruction of his regime just so he could use chemical weapons? He was winning? Where is the info coming from, western sources in this area are non existent

So many conflicting stories from ghouta years ago, why would he commit suicide for his regime by doing this when he was winning?

You would be surprised by what they are still capable of, especially considering who is supporting these terrorists (aka pro-democratic rebels).

Ron Paul is right, so is the senator from Virginia.

There is almost no chance that Assad did this, at this particular moment. He would risk everything, and being a very intelligent person, he simply wouldn't. It is a deperate attack, which could only be done by desperate people.

Is Assad desperate now? He has no reason to. He is taking control of the situation. Both ISIS and the rebel are on the decline. The west is not so adament about "removing" him anymore, and everything is working in his favor and it is just a matter of time that he will dominate the country again. So now he throws a bunch of gas bombs on his own civilians, knowing that it will undoubtedly cause global outrage and condemnation, possibly direct intervention by western powers against him? He has little to gain and so much to lose.

I just don't understand why people can't look at it ratinally and logically. It simply makes no sense. And they media seems to lack any kind of objectivity in this, irrationally accusing Assad without any evidence.

Yes, evidence. Before you start to throw 60 bombs potentially causing more death, you always need some evidence and so far, there is none. No country, no media provided any concret evidence that it is the Assad regime that did it. All is speculation, and of course, it never hurts to think worse of Assad! but guys, use logic and the spirite of law here!

And who will win from this? Who would LOOOOOVE to see military involvement of the US? And Trump jumped right into the quagmire again, naively thinking he is doing the world a favor.

Yes, the pictures showing all those poor children are appaling. But the only thing the pictures show are a crime has been committed and tells nothing about who did it. So are we just free to decide who did and are justified to take actions now?? The photos themselves are carefully manipulated to call for emotion, not rationality, and most people did JUST that.

I just feel sorry for the Syrian people who are losing the possible peace again. I am equally sorry for the American people who are dragged into a senseless war again. Trump proves to be even worse and hotheaded when it comes to wars.

It doesn't matter.

The US media will bury these sensible voices using their own half assed stories. They don't want to know the truth, nor do they want people to analyze using evidence and logic. They are more interested in using ambiguous language and graphic photos to make people NOT use their brain and come to conclusions they want them to have. I have read quite a few articles on this, and few of them are keeping a clea head and tries to figure out what happened and who did it. And they certainly have no interest in finding proof. They already have a conclusion and just stick to it.

So sad.

The msm will not touch the fact that Assad, Russia deny it. It makes zero sense. It makes perfect sense for the neo con globalist.

So Ron Paul's argument is the people who were armed by Obama & Hillary were the ones to use the gas.

Obama had endless blunders, mishaps and disasters on the world stage. Syria will be one of his greatest.
