I'm good with Comey getting the boot just as long as the investigation of possible collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign/administration continues.

I'm shedding no tears for Comey. It's been months since I thought he was in any way reliable.
It's Trump's motivations and timing that I'm questioning.
We need a list of all the lying liars out there and their lies.
We can start with poor little Robby Mook who cried that Comey's being fired by President Trump is "disturbing" and "frightening."
Mook also cited anonymous "reporting" which calls into question Trump's motives and suggests a cover-up related to Russia...completely ignoring the fact that on March 2 2017 he declared in a tweet "It's time for Comey to remove himself from this too. His credibility is gone."

And we can even predict the future. Trump will appoint one of his sleazy friends so that the FBI really can't go forward with its investigation of him. He's said to be considering sleaze bag Chris Christie of NJ.
Christie is indeed sleazy. But he's not dumb. Why on earth would he take this job? Trump has already screwed him over. It seems to me that watching Trump screw Comey would make anyone intelligent enough to do this job think about 5 times before taking it on.

DOJ owns Comey under their cloak. Assistant AG recommended firing, Sessions concurred, President Trump thought it over for a week. Comey did not do his job for some time. He was/is politically driven and his testimony in front of Congress was very weak.

He would take the job as it makes him relevant again. With Christie, it's all about him. He would love it. I can't see him ever getting it though.

I'd love to see how Hannity and Bill O'Reilly would have reacted if Obama was under investigation by the FBI for something and he fired the FBI Director halfway through the investigation.....
Conservatives/Trump Voters, how would you have reacted if Obama did that?
I am sure they would have been outraged. And I am sure liberals such as Chuck Schummer, Chris Matthews et al would have said it was justified.
But that has nothing to do with if that outrage or any outrage over Comey's firing is justified.
