Comrade I Am happy you feel that way. This is the United States and there is a "Free Press" here ...........Trump should be impeached this has got to stop.
I wouldn't let the American press into DC. They're worthless. Incapable and utterly biased in their reporting and no they're not a "free press". Shutting them out is actually a good thing.

This is probably a perfect example of just how well the Russian propaganda efforts have paid off.
Not necessary to let the US media propaganda machine in to the meeting. they write their columns based on imagination and fantasy. No need to attend a meeting, why start now?
they continue to beat up on trump with wild interpretation and cheery picked phrases lacking perspective.
Remember when obama promised to broadcast the healthcare negotiations on CSPANN and it never happened. Thought the cornhusker kickback and the louisianna purchase would make fine viewing. So much for transparency.... oh, that brings up the transparency award given to obama by ombwatch. the news media was banned form that award ceremony.

Reason: ed
The point is that the American press is, by and large, necessary for a transparent and accountable government. That is why this was important enough to become the FIRST AMENDMENT of our Constitution.
You can play the snarky "lamestream media" game, but ultimately the ability to have a say and hold authority to account is what separates us from places like North Korea.
So if you're an American and have any appreciation for your rights and privileges as an American, you damn well should be concerned when Trump shuts down the press from key meetings but let's Russian press in.
The exact point that this thread is meant to put forth.
Former CIA deputy director David Cohen said it was not a good idea at all to let a Russian news agency and its equipment inside the Oval Office.
In a tweet sent Wednesday morning, Cohen, who served as deputy director from February 2015 to January 2017 during the Obama administration, reacted to the question of whether it was a good idea to let a Russian news agency into the Oval Office with a terse: "No, it was not."
Apparently the Russian foreign minister is on his way to a meeting of The Arctic Council (the foreign ministers of 8 arctic nations are on the council) tomorrow in Fairbanks, Alaska. I assume that's why the meeting with Trump had to be scheduled for today.
Quote:
Some of the possible tension may have been averted by the fact Lavrov stopped in Washington ahead of the Alaska summit to meet Tillerson and President Donald Trump.
Trumpadumps thought it was ok when right wing media was only allowed in a closed door meeting with their criminal president and now it's the same with the Rushkies. That's sad.
It really amazes me that people would support Trump actively blocking U.S. press from being allowed to be there, especially with all this other crap going on. How shady can he get, seriously. Blocking is one thing, then ONLY ALLOWING russians journalist/photographer, I mean really, wtf?
