The ignorance in this thread in amazing. Besides complaints about California's freeways and high cost of living, what else?
California has it's own culture, world class entertainment, diversified economy, beaches/great weather which for you free market folks makes something desirable... which drives up prices.

Here's a test to see if you find a place desirable: assume you have infinite amount of cash and can choose to live anywhere you like. Where would you go and why? I'm willing to bet most of you will choose something along the lines of the most expensive cities in the country.

CA has it's good and bad and definitely has a big problem with money and infrastructure at the moment. It's not a Trump thing, it has nothing to do with "opposite of Trump". Or "same as Trump" for that matter. There are things that are really coming to a head and people are not happy about some of the things going on in the State. I feel like OP's like this need the attention that comes from posting nonsense.

Hopefully this chart shows up. It's real per capita income, US v. California.

Uh no. Not everyone. Give me 1000 acres 20 miles from the nearest town in a conservative state where people mind their own business. Glad to be out of CA.

And they are almost at the bottom in education.
Huge wealth and education gap in CA -- Silicon Valley billionaires, democrat party millionaires, and Hollywood airheads are all insulated from the poverty and dysfunction of the rest of CA.
