Disappointing for sure,ABC continues to show the open mindedness and fairness in media....I loved this show really the ONLY reason I watch ABC. Guess it can be deleted from our tv channel list now. I hope FX or CMT or someone picks up a sure winner of a TV show.
Other articles report that rather than deal with expensive contract negotiations, ABC decided to cancel. Fox apparently owns it, so maybe they will decide to air it.

It says in the article they have done the negotiations EVERY season, and just out of the blue canceled...I hope fox does run it....Someone should its a proven winner and literally the ONLY decent show on TV IMO

money talk, if Tim was bringing in the numbers he would get another show, if his numbers were big enough he would get top slot and if his number were insane he could have his own station.
ABC would build a whole brand around almost any product they could peddle. Tim is just very out of date and appeals to a declining number of viewers. I watched his show in the 90s or something, but not in decades. He plays one character, the put upon husband and father.
It couldn't possibly be because no one watches the show, right? No, never. It wasn't even in the top 25 network shows in 2015-2016 (which Quantico, another ABC show that seems to likely be on the chopping block, was). Ratings have dropped in particular over the last season: ABC Cancels ‘Last Man Standing’ After Six Seasons | Variety
I thought it was cancelled after the first season. It's only because of this thread that I even knew it was still on!

It had 6 seasons, if it was that conservative shouldnt it have been cancelled back when it started ????
Seems to be what cost it was the cost. Not produced by ABC and Tim Allen wanting too much money.
They put that on a Friday night - and it still had above average ratings? I am usually out - so I don't see it.
You put that on a normal weeknight and it would have done a lot better.
Lasted for six seasons while Obama was in office, but they can't have them being pro-Trump.
Yeah, that is the reason.
