US air strike in Mosul killed at least 105 civilians, Pentagon confirms | The Independent

" A Pentagon investigation has found more than 100 civilians were killed in a US bombing in Mosul, Iraq, in March, making it one of the largest incidents of civilian death since the US air campaign against Isis began in 2014.

The military reports 101 civilians in the building were killed, and another four died in a nearby building. Thirty-six civilians remain unaccounted for. "

No wonder the War on Terror isn't working. We usual kill 100 civilians to kill 10 bad guys. I'd guess we just created 200 new Osama Bin Laden's with one misplaced bomb.

Will we have social media posts tomorrow proclaiming..."pray for Iraq"?

I doubt it.

well, in your article, it says

Air Force Brig Gen Matthew Isler says American-led forces dropped the bomb under request from Iraqi Counter-terrorism Services. The counter-terrorism forces were reportedly facing gunfire from two Isis snipers.

To muslims the US military are the terrorists.

ISIS announced the recent Manchester bombing was retaliation for American airstrikes on Iraq, and some want us to believe decades of ongoing western military presence in muslim countries, that continues to this day has nothing to do with terrorism.

Can you imagine the outrage if this had happened on Trump's watch?

"Relatives mourn next to bodies of Iraqi residents of west Mosul killed in an air strike targeting Isis on 17 March 2017 "... it DID happen on trump's watch.

A great terrorist recruiting tool regardless of who was POTUS.

Could you imagine......

AP: Two bank robbers took 100 people hostages in Las Vegas today when their hold up went bad.

Authorities dropped in tear gas but when the robbers started to return fire it was decided to just blow the bank up killing everyone inside.

Would we go for that? Why should others? Why are we in Iraq after 16 years still?

You see they militarily are inferior, that's why they choose soft target rich environments.

Just like Vietnam you have locals who don't purge these scumbags from their cities towns and villages. So be it. Hide their weapons, build their IEDs etc... then cry foul because a drone strike nailed a civilian...

Logic would tell me, if I value what life I have, to either get out of dodge or deal with these scumbags myself or tell the troops where they and their caches are located so that they can do their job and get out.

But that's me...
