A bit bass ackwards, if you ask me.

If these people had a spine, they'd try to fix the issues in their home country, which have driven them to flee their ancestral homes.

Texas Lawmakers Trade Assault Allegations After One Calls ICE On Protesters : The Two-Way : NPR

GOP State Rep. Matt Rinaldi says he called Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the protesters, several of whom carried signs proclaiming "I am illegal and here to stay."

"He came up to us and said, 'I'm glad I just called ICE to have all these people deported,'" state Rep. César Blanco said at a news conference after the incident, according to the Tribune. State Rep. Ramon Romero recalls blunter language: "He said, 'I called ICE — f*** them.' "

At this point, Rinaldi says that Romero "physically assaulted" him, and that another Democratic lawmaker, Poncho Nevarez, threatened to "get" Rinaldi on his way to his car."
This guy saying that there were doesn't make it so.
Anyone can carry a sign that says any old thing.
Doesn't make it true or accurate.

Did ICE arrest anyone for being in the country illegally?

Of course. The citizens of every sovereign nation in the world, except for lib'tards in the USA, feel it's their right to determine who, how and why, foreigners may enter their countries, and if people sneak in, the get deported.

Every one of us do this with our own home, our own businesses, and even our own cars. We feel we have the right to only allow people we agree to invite, to step foot in our home, or even sit in our car.

Who here, would be okay with strangers just walking in our front doors, and eating our food and taking over our bedroom, much less think they not only had a right to trespass, but to make demands upon us too??????

In that part of the country they've taken over the landscaping and construction jobs from Americans.

It's about the ONLY thing I agree with Republicans on. Most of us are somewhere in the middle--not like the far left politicians that get the publicity. Most of us do not want sanctuary cities, whether we are Democrats or Republicans.
I agree completely. The illegals are also being disrespectful to the immigrant families who came here the legal way and became citizens. That's not an easy process yet they did it anyway because they wanted to be citizens.

It's not just "lib'tards" who encourage illegal immigration. There are MANY conservative businessmen, especially in the construction industry, who love them some cheap labor. That cheap labor is overwhelmingly provided by folks who are here illegally.

There is two distinct reasons, firstly for the votes and I'm not referring to illegal immigrant votes either. Democrats have been pandering to a plethora of fringe groups and in doing so have abandoned the middle class. In particular the white middle class. That's not to say the Republicans don't pander to fringe groups but it's no where near the level as it is in the Democrat party. They can either continue to pander to these groups moving further left fracturing the party even further or move towards the center...

The second reason is that House seats and the electoral college votes that go along with them are based on the total population which includes illegal immigrants. One estimate suggests that California has 5 extra House seats, Texas 2, NY 2 and Washington 1. The same estimate suggests those seats would be reallocated to red or purplish states based on the legal population, everyone of them was won by Trump this past election. Furthermore the illegal population is typically centered in urban areas that are already Democratic strongholds, not only would they lose influence at the Federal level but they would also lose influence at the state level.

Whether you support it or not there isn't much you can do about it. If your competition is using that cheap labor you aren't left with much of choice to remain competitive.

We should put up tents in these Democrats backyards and force them to pay for the illegal alien and Muslim refugees, existence.

Their tune would change so fast.
