This Islamic terrorism over there probably has little to do with the EU--Britain allowed Pakistanis and others from any country that had belonged to their commonwealth to freely immigrate. Went on for decades and now is coming home to roost. Too many, too fast, didn't assimilate very well.

I think London is still pretty safe. They don't have citizens running around with guns, shooting people like we do over here, making OUR cities so unsafe. It was the IRA before, now it's mostly the second generation of Muslims.
I missed that time. I first came to London in 1989, and have been coming there ever since, so it been almost 30 years.
But my husband said when he was in college, some of his Pakistani acquaintances shared their vision of caliphate and he didn't believe them then, he does now.

My goodness, some unexpected sane assessing of the facts pertinent to both countries; imagine that.

Kudos.

Not true. I was there doing this period, some time out late at night, but recently we experienced stabbing at Oxford street. Not terrorism related but that was the first.

There is a difference here. Islamic Radicles are doing the terrible events in UK. The Mayor does not help the situation by not being proactive.

Again for the Good of the Country he should resign.

Too bad the U.S. with the highest rate of firearm violence in the free world doesn't care enough about it's people to do the smart thing.

Americans; killing each other and loving it..
Interesting statistics:
Number one murder committed with a rifle was done with a single shot rifle. Of all of the major killings only Asian groups were over represented compared to their percent of the population. People of Middle Eastern and Arab decent like Nidal Malik Hasan, the FT Hood Terrorist are categorized as White by the FBI

London had an historic low murder rate only a few years ago, it was the lowest since figures were first published.

Murder rate hits 42-year-low in London | London Evening Standard

London is over one thousand years old, and through most of it's history was far more violent and unsafe than it is today.

The London of Shakespeare and Dickens was full of poverty, violence and disease, todays London is very safe by comparison. London is a city which has survived fire, plague, war, terrorism and numerous other disasters, and this is nothing new.

In terma terrorism, we had waves of terrorist campaigns in the 1970's, 1980 and even in the 1990's, when the IRA and INLA carried out lots of bombings. There are a lot less terrorist attacks in London these days than in previous decades, if you click on the link below it gives details of many of the attacks over the last 120 years.

I was not referring that far back, lol. But I know from 1989-2005, I felt safer there.
But in general, the world and not just London is safer than years ago, back to the Shakespeare and Dickens time.

Trump pulls out of BS Paris agreement that none of our citizens or political representatives of our citizens voted on and the Left melts down with hundreds of people hysterically crying "We're all gonna die!".

England has multiple Muslim attacks and dozens murdered and injured by Islamist terrorists in a few weeks time and the Left coo "Nothing to see here. We're all safe and sound."

The Left is nuts.

How many mass shootings has the U.S. endured? Most committed by someone who would be considered mentally ill.

Your post doesn't have quite the bite you thought it would. Care to try another?
